A redesign of a ceramic cistern for a new technology, cast polymer: complex, refined forms, a classic design and a place for your phone.
Brief
A classic ceramic cistern had to move to a different technology, cast polymer. The goal was to keep the classic design while using everything the new material can do.
Styling and layout
Cast polymer is far more precise than ceramics: it allows complex, refined forms, fine relief and clean surfaces. We kept the classic look — the proportions and the vertical fluting of the front — and reworked every surface.
New habits
A classic product should fit modern habits. The lid now has a ledge where you can safely leave your phone.
Master model and sample
From the CAD model we made the master model ourselves, and then the first sample of the cistern.
Graphics and catalog
We designed the BELLA UNO collection catalog, showing the cistern in an interior, the finish details and the configuration options.
